Tender Care Attended Pumpkin Fest 2023!
Providing a Helping Hand for Special Needs Children and Families.
We had a blast at Pumpkin Fest 2023! The fair was hosted by Chasin A Dream Foundation, located at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, FL. We had so many families stop by our table for candy and to play at our sensory table.
This family-friendly event had great music, Trick-or-Treating, a haunted house, costume contest, photo booth, pumpkin patch, and over 50 vendors. Tender Care had a basket drawing that featured a squishmallow, toys, and Tender Care merch. This basket was won by Cassandra Gonzalez, Congratulations!
The host of the fair, Chasin A Dream, empowers families with children facing life-threatening illnesses by providing support. Their mission is to ease the burden on families with children battling cancer, heart disease, cystic fibrosis, and other life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. The founder, Lori Griffith, worked in healthcare for 18 years, giving her a first hand look at what these children and their families face on a day-to-day basis. Tender Care PPEC donated a space for Chasin A Dream to use at our facility in West Palm Beach and we work closely together to help children with special medical needs the best we can. Tender Care provides care for medically complex and fragile children from birth to 21 years of age in a daycare-like environment staffed with nurses, CNAs, and therapists. We are the first independently owned PPEC in the State of Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. This means we have an abundance of experience and knowledge in providing loving care to this special pediatric population. We have 6 Tender Care PPEC centers throughout Florida, with our newest facility located in Lake Park.
Our goal is to enhance the development of each child through collaborative relationships between families, physicians, nurses, and therapists. This holistic approach to care is carried out in an environment that allows the child to engage in social interactions with their peers. This results in thriving children, well-positioned to achieve their greatest potential. We also offer transportation at no cost and provide nutritious meals throughout the day.
What sets us apart is that we care for and treat every child like family. We have passion in our hearts for our children and a desire to see them succeed.
