Respiratory Therapy

A respiratory therapist is present at Tender Care Centers to provide therapy to children that have breathing problems such as asthma, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, congestion, cough, and wheezing. Our respiratory therapists provide patients with nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), and assists in keeping the lungs free and clear of mucous that can “clog” the breathing passages. Additionally, our respiratory therapists are capable of administering oxygen, working with respirators and BiPap machines, and treating patients with tracheotomies. Our goal is to help keep our patients breathing comfortably. We keep in mind what the American Lung Association says…”if you cannot breathe, nothing else matters.”
