Occupational Therapy

Tender Care’s pediatric occupational therapy team provides evaluation and treatment to children with a wide variety of diagnosis including, but not limited to, orthopedic, neurological, rheumatic and congenital disorders. Additionally, they work with children with shortened attention spans, learning disabilities, and/or sensory processing challenges. The function of a pediatric occupational therapist involves analyzing and treating skeletal, neuromuscular or cognitive restrictions. It also includes helping patients in developing their interaction and communication skills, refinement of motor skills, and educating patients in self care abilities, especially for older children. Tender Care Center’s occupational therapy program provides evaluation and treatment services for children who have difficulty performing everyday activities. We design a comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy program tailored to your child’s particular needs. Our goal is always to restore as much function and independence as possible.
