Tender Care Becomes a Sponsor at The Miracle League of Palm Beach County Baseball Games!

Providing a Helping Hand for Special Needs Children and Families.

The Miracle League of Palm Beach

Tender Care is sponsoring two of The Miracle League of Palm Beach County (MLPBC) baseball seasons! This organization is open to all children regardless of mental or physical disabilities.

The Miracle League of Palm Beach

The MLPBC is a non-profit that was co-founded in 2005 by Delray residents, Jeff and Julia Kadel. One night they were watching a TV broadcast featuring The Miricle League, a baseball league open to all kids regardless of mental and physical disabilities. This influenced the Kadels to use their own experience and talents to bring the special baseball league to the children and families of their community.

After the success of the first season, the Kadel’s decided that the league needed to grow to serve all disabled children who wished to participate. With the help of the Palm Beach County Commission, community leaders, and donors, their plan came to fruition.

Baseball Sponsor

For over ten years, the Miracle League Association has made it possible for every child in the country with physical and mental disabilities to achieve the same dream as their peers – to play ball.

The field is equipped with cushioned synthetic turf to help prevent injuries, wheelchair-accessible dugouts, and a flat surface to eliminate barriers to wheelchair-bound or visually impaired players.

The rules of this league are simple:

  • Every player bats once each inning
  • All base runners are safe
  • Every player scores a run before the inning is over
  • Each team and player wins every game
  • Community kids and volunteers are “buddies” to assist the players

Tender Care occasionally volunteers as a buddy at this league. We recently went to one of the games and had an amazing experience assisting the children around the bases. We plan to continue volunteering as buddies for future games.

Tender Care Buddy

The MLPBC is an incredible organization, the impact they have on these families and children is truly inspiring. Their slogan “Every Child Deserves to Play Baseball” speaks to what they stand for and what they are doing in their community.

Tender Care is passionate about making a difference in the communities we serve. We are so moved by the work the MLPBC is doing in their community, that we are thrilled and honored to sponsor the next two seasons!

Why should my child go to Tender Care PPEC?

Tender Care PPEC provides care for medically complex and fragile children from birth to 21 years of age in a daycare-like environment staffed with nurses, CNAs, and therapists. We are the first independently owned PPEC in the State of Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. This means we have an abundance of experience and knowledge in providing loving care to this special pediatric population. We have 6 Tender Care PPEC centers throughout Florida, with our newest facility located in Lake Park.

Lake Park Grand Opening

Our goal is to enhance the development of each child through collaborative relationships between families, physicians, nurses, and therapists. This holistic approach to care is carried out in an environment that allows the child to engage in social interactions with their peers. This results in thriving children, well-positioned to achieve their greatest potential. We also offer transportation at no cost and provide nutritious meals throughout the day.

What sets us apart is that we care for and treat every child like family. We have passion in our hearts for our children and a desire to see them succeed.

Supporting Children with Special Medical Needs Through Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy

Children with special medical needs often face unique challenges in their daily lives. Whether it’s due to congenital conditions, developmental delays, or injuries, the support of physical, occupational, and speech therapy can make a profound difference in helping them thrive. These therapies aim to improve mobility, enhance communication, and foster independence—key aspects in a child’s growth and development.
