On April 1st, Tender Care had a successful Special Needs Resources Expo at our St. Augustine Center!
We had over 20 vendors, 6 food sponsors, $1000 worth of raffle prizes, and a multitude of attendees at the Expo. We also had a bounce house donated for the day, a fire truck, a sensory room, and face painting!
Our guest speaker, Brittany Cunningham, shared her remarkable story of being a mom of a special needs child. She spoke of her struggles becoming a mom at 20 and navigating the new challenges she faced when her daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She shares more of her story in her new book Looking Beyond the Stars.
⭐ Vendors and Sponsors ⭐
During this event, we raised over $600 which will be donated to HorsePlay Therapy. A not-for-profit organization for kids with special needs and veterans with PTSD and other life-altering injuries.
We want to thank all the vendors, sponsors, attendees, and staff who made this Expo successful. We can’t wait for next year!
Learn more about Tender Care
Tender Care PPEC provides care for medically complex and fragile children from birth to 21 years of age in a daycare-like environment staffed with nurses, CNAs, and therapists. We are the first independently owned PPEC in Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. This means we have abundant experience and knowledge in providing loving care to this special pediatric population. We have 6 Tender Care PPEC centers throughout Florida, with one of them being in St. Augustine.
What sets us apart is that we care for and treat every child like family. We have passion in our hearts for our children and a desire to see them succeed.
