Tender Care was a Guest on Two Moms and Some Labels!

Providing a Helping Hand for Special Needs Children and Families.

Tender Care’s Director of Marketing, Thomas LoBianco, had the pleasure of being a guest on Two Moms and Some Labels! They discussed the benefits, services, and protocols of Tender Care PPEC.

The podcast begins with Brittany Cunningham, The Fierce Mompreneur, and Tender Care’s Director of Marketing, Thomas LoBianco discussing PPECS. A PPEC is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care facility staffed with Nurses, CNAs, and Therapists. Thomas starts the conversation by explaining his journey working at a PPEC and the heartwarming story that came with it.

Next, they discuss the benefits, flexibility, and availability of Tender Care PPEC. How Tender Care not only helps the child but also makes the parents’ life easier. Since we are open on weekdays, Saturdays, and School Holidays, it allows parents to spend time with their other children, or the parent can go to school/work to provide for their family.

They continue by listing the services Tender Care offers such as occupational, physical, speech, and respiratory therapy. We offer these services so the parents don’t have to drive long distances and try to make every appointment. At Tender Care, their child can get therapy in one place throughout the day. We also offer FREE transportation services up to an hour away from our facilities. The child gets picked up with our accessible vans at their home.

Lastly, they discussed our communication system and the importance of marketing to let parents know that PPECs are a resource available to them. We use an electronic medical record program, all the nursing is done in that program and charted throughout the day. At the end of the day, the parents get a synopsis of everything the child did through our patient portal. Marketing is a big part of helping kids with special needs get into a PPEC because many parents and doctors are not aware of our services. We do most of our marketing through social media.

Two Moms and Some Labels

Two Moms and Some Labels is a podcast that gives information to their viewers to let the community of families raising children with special needs know that there is still care available for them. It is a platform for parents and caregivers caring for a loved one who has special needs. It is a place to learn, network, and find ways to help get through challenging times.

The podcast is run by Brittany Cunningham and The Fierce Mompreneur. We met Brittany at our Special Needs Resources Expo in St. Augustine where she was our guest speaker and promoting her new book “Looking Beyond the Stars: The Journey of a Special Needs Mother.”

You can find their podcast on YouTube and Facebook.

Why should my child go to Tender Care PPEC?

Tender Care PPEC provides care for medically complex and fragile children from birth to 21 years of age in a daycare-like environment staffed with nurses, CNAs, and therapists. We are the first independently owned PPEC in the State of Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. This means we have an abundance of experience and knowledge in providing loving care to this special pediatric population. We have 6 Tender Care PPEC centers throughout Florida, with our newest facility located in Lake Park.

Lake Park Location

Our goal is to enhance the development of each child through collaborative relationships between families, physicians, nurses, and therapists. This holistic approach to care is carried out in an environment that allows the child to engage in social interactions with their peers. This results in thriving children, well-positioned to achieve their greatest potential. We also offer transportation at no cost and provide nutritious meals throughout the day.

What sets us apart is that we care for and treat every child like family. We have passion in our hearts for our children and a desire to see them succeed.
