Nurse Appreciation Week at Tender Care 2023

Providing a Helping Hand for Special Needs Children and Families.

Tender Care celebrated Nurse Appreciation Week, May 8th – 12th at all of our centers. Each day was a special theme and food was provided. Continue reading to find out how we celebrated and how much we truly appreciate our employees.

Nurses Week

May 8th, the first day of Nurse Appreciation Week, was Disney Day! The staff and kids dressed up as their favorite Disney characters.

May 9th was Sports Team Day! The staff and kids dressed up in their favorite sports teams. We had teams like the Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Heat, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The 10th was Superhero Day! The staff and kids dressed up as their favorite superheroes even though our staff are superheroes every day at Tender Care.

The 11th was Pajama or Mismatch Day. The staff and kids wore appropriate pajama attire or a mismatched outfit. Either way, it was a comfortable day!

Lastly, we had Tender Care Day and the staff wore matching t-shirts that said “Little Hands Color My World Tender Care PPEC.”

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to all the staff at Tender Care. We are so appreciative of our nurses not only on Nurse Appreciation Week but year-round. The care you provide for the kids at Tender Care is above and beyond. Thank you for all that you do!

Why should my child go to Tender Care PPEC?

Tender Care PPEC provides care for medically complex and fragile children from birth to 21 years of age in a daycare-like environment staffed with nurses, CNAs, and therapists. We are the first independently owned PPEC in Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. This means we have abundant experience and knowledge in providing loving care to this special pediatric population. We have 6 Tender Care PPEC centers throughout Florida, with our newest facility located in Lake Park.

Lake Park Location

Our goal is to enhance the development of each child through collaborative relationships between families, physicians, nurses, and therapists. This holistic approach to care is carried out in an environment that allows the child to engage in social interactions with their peers. This results in thriving children, well-positioned to achieve their greatest potential. We also offer transportation at no cost and provide nutritious meals throughout the day.

What sets us apart is that we care for and treat every child like family. We have passion in our hearts for our children and a desire to see them succeed.
